As of February 24, 2026, our signature comforter design is officially protected by a U.S. utility patent that covers the unique panel system we created to help sleepers release heat naturally while staying covered and comfortable. It’s the heart of our Softwing Natural Cooling System™, and it’s something we spent years designing, testing, and refining.
Like many of you, we’ve experienced nights of tossing, turning, and overheating. We didn’t want more gadgets, wires, or noise in the bedroom. We wanted a natural, beautiful solution that worked with the body and preserved the feeling of closeness under one comforter.
That idea became Sleeping Dove.
Receiving this patent is meaningful to us because it recognizes that what we built is truly original. It also protects the care, thought, and craftsmanship that go into every comforter we make. We’re incredibly grateful to our customers who believed in us early, shared feedback, and supported our small business as we grew.
